Service overview

Dot.Entity (the "App") is an observation game built around the cellular automaton "Game of Life" devised by John Conway in 1970. It is suitable for all ages.

Nature of the service

Free to use
No in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertising
No social features (no chat, leaderboards, social-network integration, etc.)
No user data collection or tracking
Runs fully offline

Intellectual property

Source code, design, UI, and text content of the App belong to the Developer. "Conway's Game of Life" and the various pattern names are included in the App as academic and historical references.

Prohibited conduct

Reverse-engineering, modifying, or redistributing the App
Using the App for any unlawful purpose
Exploiting vulnerabilities in the App for unauthorized actions

Disclaimer

The App is provided "as is." Except in cases of the Developer's intentional misconduct or gross negligence, the Developer is not liable for damages arising from data loss, device malfunction, iOS update-related behavior changes, or service discontinuation.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes related to these Terms will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.

Changes

These Terms may be modified. Significant changes will be announced in the App's release notes.
